Don't Sweat It - Keep Cool the Portable Way

Author: Dion Semeniuk

With summer fast approaching us once again, its time to think about how we can make our summers more comfortable. When I say more comfortable, I mean more comfortable from the heat. Over the past few years, we are seeing a rise in the average temperatures across the globe and sometimes the heat can be unbearable and sometimes outright deadly. We all love the summer and what it brings; sunshine and warmth. But now days, the heat that the sun brings us can be to hot and really affect the way we live and our health.

A lot of property owners will bring out the old 10 inch oscillating fan during these times, or maybe two or three of them just to try and get some relief from the sweltering heat in their home. Or go to the extreme and open up their fridges and freezers and try and share some of that cold air between your food and yourself. Unfortunately, that doesnt work out to well and before you know it, you are looking at buying a new fridge or freezer. So I do not recommend doing that.

Not everyone has the luxury of affording or even having the option of owning a central air conditioner. What I do recommend is looking at an investment in a portable air conditioner. Using a portable air conditioner would be an excellent and money-saving choice for you. Being portable, you have to purchase only one unit and you can roll it from room to room depending on where you need instant cooling. They are mounted on castors and some weigh only 36 pounds. You do not have to break the bank to keep cool and the greatest savings are realized because only one room, instead of the entire house, is being kept extra cool.

These days, there are many types and sizes of portable air conditioners. Depending on the size of room you would like to keep cool is what will make your decision. Manufactures now make it possible to cool rooms that were not possible before (apartments, condos, etc.). Portable is the way to go and can make your summer months a more enjoyable ones.
